Spine Care and Related Services

West Jefferson Medical Center provides quality patient care in the treatment of disorders of the spine. From the diagnostic setting to post-treatment and comprehensive rehabilitation, including a SwimEx Therapy Pool in the on campus Aquatics Center, staff support physicians in the care of patients with diseases and conditions of the spine.

The team focuses on non-invasive procedures when available – helping to treat patients properly and often decreasing down time. From neurological surgery and complex spinal surgery, the team at WJMC sees and treats a variety of spinal conditions from traumatic injuries to tumors.

Spine Care at West Jefferson involves comprehensive non-surgical and surgical treatments. Specialized surgical procedures performed at West Jefferson may include minimally invasive spinal surgery, endoscopic surgery, lumbar disc replacement as well as traditional open and complex spinal fusion procedures.

In addition to acute, emergency and follow-up care by physicians as well as an in-house 22-bed Rehab Unit, the Rehab Connection outpatient services offers physical and occupational therapy as well as speech care in the West Jeff Medical Plaza just a block from the main campus and at the West Jeff Wellness Complex in Terrytown. A host of specialized rehabilitative programs tailored to individual needs as well as business and industry are available. The outpatient rehabilitation service includes an Industrial Rehab facility.
