The best part is that it’s quick and easy to make and it’s sure to get you and your family in the Halloween spirit!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of water or milk of choice
  • ½ cup of orange juice
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 cup of frozen mangoes
  • 1 to 2 large handfuls of baby spinach
  • Chocolate sauce
    • 2 tbsp nut butter
    • 2 tbsp Cacao Powder
    • 2-3 tbsp Maple Syrup
    • Pinch of salt
    • 1-3 tbsp of hot water
  • Clear glass + marker

Directions:

  1. Draw your monster face onto a clear, glass cup!
    1. Note: You can use a dry eraser marker or a permanent marker if you want to make the face last a little longer. The marker will wipe off from the glass sweats of the smoothie, or you can use nail polish remover to clean the glass later.
  2. Add your water or milk of choice, orange juice, and spinach to the blender. Blend until your greens are completely broken down.
  3. Then, add your frozen banana and mangoes to the smoothie. Blend again until the consistency is smooth and slushy.
  4. Next, we’re going to make our chocolate sauce to make our monster’s hair
    1. In a small bowl, combine your almond butter, cacao power, maple syrup, pinch of salt, and water. Whisk to stir well.
    2. Give it a taste. If you want it sweeter, you can always add more maple syrup. If you want it less sweet, you can always add more water. Keep whisking until you have silky smooth chocolate.
  5. Serve the chocolate sauce over your smoothie right away! Make sure to let a little pour over the sides of your cup to ensure your monster has a fa-boo-lous hair do!
  6. Enjoy!

This healthy Halloween treat is sure to make for a wicked good snack or breakfast and tastes sweet like candy. We hope you have a fun and safe Halloween with your family. Eat, drink, and be scary!
