Nonsurgical and surgical care for your joints and spine

Our orthopedic specialists are dedicated to finding solutions that work for you. Typically, we start with conservative, or nonsurgical, treatments—physical therapy, medications, injections and modifications to your daily activities. Our goal is to alleviate pain and improve your mobility, so you can enjoy daily activities as much as possible.

If conservative treatments aren’t successful, our team of orthopedic surgeons can help you decide if surgery should be your next step. We offer a range of advanced procedures that help patients of all ages reduce pain and get back to life. Whenever possible, we use minimally invasive approaches that require smaller incisions and may lead to a faster recovery.

Our procedures include:

  • Arthroscopic procedures, for which surgeons use a small light and miniature camera to diagnose and treat joint problems
  • Bone fracture repair
  • Carpal tunnel surgery
  • Joint replacement surgery
  • Osteotomy to correct bone deformities
  • Rotator cuff repair
  • Spinal fusion

Advanced knee and hip replacements for damaged joints

Joint replacement surgery has helped adults of all activity levels overcome debilitating pain in their knees and hips. During these procedures, an experienced surgeon replaces all or part of a joint, damaged most often by arthritis, with strong artificial materials. Our surgeons perform both total joint replacements, in which the entire joint is replaced, as well as partial replacements, in which only certain parts of a joint are replaced.

At LCMC Health, our orthopedic surgeons use advanced techniques and technologies to improve the success of a new joint and minimize downtime and recovery. For example, using the innovative anterior approach to hip replacement, surgeons can replace a hip joint without cutting major muscles, allowing for faster recovery. Knee replacements may be performed with Mako Robotic-Arm Assisted Surgery, which offers surgeons more precision and improves longevity of the implant.

We’re with you for every step, from the moment you decide on surgery throughout your recovery. Our joint programs provide comprehensive pre-surgery education, so you know what to expect before, during and after your procedure. Our therapists begin rehab soon after surgery to get you back to your daily life as quickly as possible.
